Small by Design
Birthstone does not use anonymous matching. Care is provided by Tayna Chessman, LM, CPM, or one designated doula partner. You meet personally before your plan is finalized.
Tayna is a California Licensed Midwife, Certified Professional Midwife, experienced birth and postpartum doula, and professional doula trainer. The practice combines doula-centered emotional support with a deep understanding of birth environments and family needs.

Many plans include doula benefits, but authorization, covered services, visit limits, cost sharing, and network rules vary. We verify your plan before care begins and explain what was confirmed.
We help with verification and direct billing when the plan, authorization, and service are eligible. Coverage is not guaranteed until verification is complete.

Yes. Doula care can support medicated labor, unmedicated labor, induction, planned cesarean, and changes that arise during birth, subject to hospital policies.
No. Benefits differ by plan. We verify eligibility, authorization requirements, covered services, and known cost sharing before care begins.
